Modern browsers can decode and encode a surprising number of formats on their own. When they can, the work stays on your device instead of travelling to a server.
Most file converters ask you to upload your document, wait in a queue, watch an advertisement wall and then hit a download limit. AnyFileConvertor is an attempt to do the opposite.

Converting a file should be a small, forgettable task. Pick the tool, hand over the file, take the result. Everything on this site is arranged around shortening that path.
Modern browsers can decode and encode a surprising number of formats on their own. When they can, the work stays on your device instead of travelling to a server.
Every converter shares the same drop area, the same progress reporting and the same result screen, so learning one tool means you know all of them.
No forced sign-up after the upload, no artificial delay before the download button appears, no fake progress bars.
Where the project is today
The platform, interface and converter architecture are in place. The conversion engines are being implemented category by category, starting with image formats. Until a given engine is connected, its tool page says so rather than returning a file it did not convert.
The long-term goal is a single place where almost any file can be translated into almost any other format, without an account and without your data leaving your machine for the conversions that can be performed locally.
AnyFileConvertor is an independent project. Every tool is free to use, with no subscription and no premium tier.
No account, no tracking of your files and no upload for supported tools. If advertising is ever shown it is kept out of the conversion workflow, so nothing sits between you and your file.
